Kicking off the 2022 edition of Daylight Talks, Níall McLaughlin presented the lecture titled Circling a Star.

Níall McLaughlin Architects put a strong emphasis on the inventive use of building materials, the qualities of light and the relationship between the building and its surroundings.

About Professor Murray Fraser

The Daylight Talk with Níall McLaughlin was presented by Murray Fraser, Professor of Architecture and Global Culture, The Bartlett School of Architecture, Faculty of the Built Environment.

Professor Murray Fraser is a qualified architect and academic educated in five degrees at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture prior to working in architectural practices and starting upon a teaching career – initially at Oxford Brookes University and then at University of Westminster.

Since July 2011, Professor Murray Fraser has held the position as Professor of Architecture and Global Culture at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture, and was Vice-Dean of Research for the wider faculty from 2012-19. Previous roles include Director of Design at Oxford Brookes and Director of Postgraduate Studies and Research at Westminster.

Professor Murray Fraser was awarded the RIBA Annie Spink Award for Excellence in Architectural Education, the most prestigious lifetime contribution award in the educational field, in 2018 and is presently the Chair of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain.
