Project Description
In developing countries, cities are growing fast. In some of these countries, the urbanization rate is growing rapidly, which involves two aspects: one is the rapid expansion of the city, annexing the suburbs and villages around the original city, this part of the people passively becomes the urban population; Young people go to work in cities more, accelerating the transition from rural population to urban population. We found that in countries with a large population and a high urbanization rate, high-density neighborhoods are an object of concern. Most of these high-density blocks are built spontaneously by the working people on the ground floor. These spontaneously built blocks have many problems: excessively cheat buildings lead to poor daylighting conditions, easy to spread after a fire, lack of basic supply facilities, and lack of public space in the community Hygiene, etc. However, this kind of community has its own unique animal characteristics: the community is built spontaneously, there is no consistency in planning, there is a rich spatial relationship between buildings, and the community functional organization is adapted to the needs of the community. Therefore, I hope to try a way of functional reconstruction to improve such a community building environment.
