Project Description
Shelter and natural light are fundamental elements of the architecture. The first protects from natural factors; the second binds and fills the creative and spiritual, creates interaction between the human material and natural world. The first is physical and static (vessels), the other is metaphysical and restorative (filling). The balance between the lighting and play of masses are difficult to catch. Suburbs were built high-rise buildings or towers with large houses adjoining areas, or low-rise buildings with a small yard. Dense development is considered to be unsuitable for life, however contrary to this densely built-up quarters more filled with life and movement. With the objective to solve the problem of insulation of the same dense residential neighborhood, for advice, we turned to nature, but rather to the very light and its properties. Inspired by natural counterparts, work and play with the conduction of light in the material, we turned to the structures of ice. Ice structures respond to wind , solar, thermal influences of the natural environment in its spatial and compositional form. It was reflected in the forming of our project. We also appreciated the texture, patterns, material ice, which varies according to dissolved in the air, inclusions of minerals and impurities, particularly salts. This gives a gradation of material in connection with the formative base of the ice elements. This rich network is possible depending on the needs of spaces with special lighting. Natural light renders the material, outlining the shape of the object, its texture, and projecting this onto our eyes. Share the materials that absorb, reflect and conduct light. Play of textures and layers of material creates different scenarios within the spaces, filling them with new meanings. From our buildings, we expect more than just a sealed volume, we need the fullness of the spaces with meanings that should be alive and changing. The architecture should capture our feelings through moods and emotions that resonate with our feelings inside; to keep us in contact with the flow of nature; and give us the opportunity to make the space their using special lighting and shape, which directs it. We propose the following approach to the development potential of light : town-planning study of the area, taking into account a number of factors influencing the location of the fabric development, and plasma – open spaces. The location of the property, orientation to the cardinal points and wind rose. The optimal areas of public space, formed at the intersection of links connecting attractors of the nearby neighborhoods.Converting the shape of buildings to the movement of the sun and wind flows. Creating an architecture that conducts light and creates high-quality insolation in dense buildings based on the ice patterns that we have developed. Daylight is necessary not only for the physical satisfaction of a person, but also for the creation of life in material volumes. From our buildings, we expect more than just a sealed volume, we need fullness of spaces with meanings that must be alive and changing. Architecture should take over our senses through moods and emotions that resonate with our sensations within; keep us in touch with the flow of nature; and give us the opportunity to make our space, activating our perceptions and dreams. In our project, we explore the features of the natural world and transfer the identified patterns to urban planning. In the future, an architecture based on these principles will help to change the attitude to the luminous flux in the building with the connection of orientation, shape and material.
