Project Description

Light is a gift from nature, as a future architecture, we really want to study more relation between natural and us. This time we are going to study the base elements of light, when we were kid, we have a study that white light is mixed up by seven colors, which is being liked rainbow. At this time, we have an idea to specialize in. So we have the following concepts and lab to prove it. It’s about rainwater and rainbow collecting device for Indian brought area, aiming to quench both physical and mental thirst. In India, color plays an important role in people’s ritual and moral life. However, due to the exciting Indian caste system, the situation is that only the upper class has access to bright colors. Both houses and custumes for residents in rural areas tend to be dirty and dull in color. Thus, the rainbow is collected to bring color into this land, telling that everyone is born to equity and has the access to enjoy colors no matter who you are. The theory of rainbow collecting is when passing through the liquid, the light becomes dynamic due to uncertainty of liquid, however, when light passing through a crystal prism, light is decompressed into a spectrum which looks like continue rainbow colors, so when it passing through a prism made of liquid, the light looks dynamic rainbow. Rainwater is collected through the prism, and then filtered along the purification pipeline supporting the prism, which is composed of sand, gravel, activated carbon, and other filtering components, and finally flows into the underground water tanks. Since the rainwater needs to settle after being collected, during the period, the prism will be filling with water. When passing through the water prism, sunlight is shaped into a shaking, poetic rainbow with water patten.
