Project Description

A permanent refuge is proposed, in the Atacama desert, for pilgrims who attend the religious festival of the Virgin of Guadalupe de Ayquina, an indigenous AtacameƱo town. This refuge invites those who make the journey, to take a rest break, immersing users through the lighting experience of the desert, by manipulating sunlight, at certain times. That is why the proposal includes the concept of PATH, generating moments of living natural lighting, whether it comes from the sun or the stars, taking into account that in this part of the planet, the skies are characterized by having clean skies, both clouds and artificial lighting, such as spotlights and lights.
