Project Description

There are various forms of countries in democratic countries around the world. Among them, the Republic of Korea (Korea) was created in the form of democracy and strengthened its internal stability to create democracy. In such a process there were struggles and sacrifices to create democracy, and this trend is similar to the flow of foreign democracy. The people who crave democracy gathered one by one and spread to the whole. As a result, it was possible to create democracy with the hands of the people, and the constant desire for democracy continues to this day. Democracy is taking its place, but few people understand this history and flow accurately. So, I want to make the history and flow of democracy accessible in everyday life. The meaning of 'small things gather together to make big things' is shaped as a light gathered from one stem to form a pillar. As for the space where we can feel democracy in our daily lives, we thought of Gwanghwamun Square, the center of democracy in Korea, and we would like to reconstruct it. Gwanghwamun Square is an old square that can be said to have shared the history of Korea. This is the place where we still have democratic protests, and we have corrected many things. Therefore, Gwanghwamun Square is the process of democracy in Korea, the past, and the future of democracy. We would like to reinterpret this significant space democratically and return it to the citizens living today as a square of democracy. Korea was created in the form of democracy and strengthened its internal stability to create democracy. The people who crave democracy gathered one by one and spread to the whole. As a result, it was possible to create democracy with the hands of the people, and the constant desire for democracy continues to this day. The light box, which means this historic event, is intended to form a park on the ground and underground, and the stream of light coming down to the basement is intended to create a pillar of light so that one can see the history of democracy. Therefore, the history and flow of democracy will be accessible to people in their daily lives through this.
