Project Description

The last few months , is a really tough time for all of us . Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 , we have to live with anxiety every day, and this kind of negative mood will reflect particularly serious in patients . Imagine a child unluckily catch the new coronavirus and get isolated , and how hopeless he will feels . it made me think how to ease those patients' moods in a possible way . physical contact from loved ones is always the most effective way for a depressed person . but physical contact with an epidemic patient is not allowed . So, I want to let their shadows , touch each other instead of physical contact . And I want to do that with sunlight . The sunlight enters the entrance that on the outer wall first , and then follows the light pipe into the light-storage system , it will be temporarily stored here , until it is needed . After that , the device will unleash the light , and it will reach the lamp . this is how it works . the storage system is to make sure that the light will be continuously unleashed without interrupt . And I put some light sensors in the LCD screen ,it will detect the shadows , so the position of shadows will be recorded of computer , then the shadow could have some “interact” with the screen , like what I do in the effect picture , to “hold”a cotton candy.
